ROBIN MITCHELL

SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Robin Mitchell has 30 years of solid waste industry experience.  She specializes in strategic planning, service procurements and contracts, rate analyses, recycling/waste reduction program development and implementation, and characterization studies.

Robin also has a rich background in regulatory and policy development, which enables her to quickly understand and interpret regulatory requirements.

Since joining KCI in 2000, Robin has managed a wide array of projects. She has developed comprehensive, long-term strategic plans aimed at maximizing waste diversion. She has also assisted with more than 50 competitive procurements or contract negotiations and managed more than 60 composition studies.

Prior to joining KCI, Robin served as Regional Waste Reduction Specialist for EPA Region 4 in Atlanta, which provided a broad understanding of solid waste management and recycling activities throughout the Southeast. While living in Atlanta, Robin also helped start Community Recycling, Inc., a successful nonprofit recycling drop-off center in a downtown neighborhood, which was her introduction to truly “hand-on” recycling experience.
